Steve Wilson is a highly experienced PGA professional with an extensive international career in coaching, leadership, and golf development.  A PGA Level 3 professional, Steve completed his training at Tandridge Golf Club in Surrey under former Welsh PGA Champion Chris Evans, where his development included not only technical coaching, but also business studies and equipment repair.

Upon qualifying, Steve moved to Katameya Heights Golf Club in Cairo, Egypt where he served as the residential professional for six years. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of golf operations while maintaining and consistent coaching schedule for members. During this time, he also demonstrated exceptional commitment by remaining with the club throughout the Arab Spring, supporting members and ensuring continuity during a period of significant uncertainty.

Steve then continued his career in Dubai at Arabian Ranches Golf Club as a full time teaching professional, further refining his coaching expertise. His knowledge is underpinned by world class education, including Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 3 certification in swing, short game, and junior coaching, completed at TPI Headquarters in Oceanside California. He is also a TrackMan Certified Professional, combining data-driven analysis with practical coaching to deliver measurable results.

His career took him significant step forward when he was recruited as the National Golf Director of Ghana, representing Paul McGinley Course Design, the R&A, and the Ghana Golf Association. Over more than three years in this role, Steve was tasked with growing the game nationwide. He coached the national team in preparation for the 2017 Eisenhower Trophy, developed local professionals, and established Junior Golf programs across schools, golf courses, and communities creating a lasting impact on golf development in the region.

Steve's coaching philosophy is further strengthened by specialist certifications, including being an authorized Instructor of The Golfing Machine, a Frankly Golf Certified Putting Instructor and holding a PGA certificate in golf psychology, allowing him to support players technically, physically, and mentally.

Following his time in Africa, Steve returned to the UK where he coached at Mold Golf Club before becoming Head Professional at Cherry Lodge Golf Club in Kent. He has since returned to North Wales and now serves as the head PGA Professional at Old Padeswood Golf Club, where he continues to deliver high level coaching and grow the game for players of all ages and abilities.
